On March 1st, 2021, the MDW presented new and ongoing projects at its annual conference „Klausur der Wissenschaften“. In pannel 3, Frances Lluis Salvado presented the project together with Sara Sousa and Andrea Corcuera. They are all Early Stage Researchers in VRACE and doing their PhDs at the Department of Music Acoustics-Wiener Klangstil. At the panel discussion, more than 15 people had the possibility to ask questions.
“Study for Saxophonist Avatar and two Loudspeakers in a VR environment” by Alex Hofmann (IWK, mdw) was presented at the Ars Electronica Festival 2020 as part of the Kunstuniversität Linz SOUND CAMPUS – Metaverse from 9-13 September 2020. The Metaverse by Enrique Tomás, Daniel Romero and Julia del Río is a social and public virtual environment for sound art exhibitions and concerts. It is a multiplayer game on a cruise where you can experience live concerts (10-12 September) and interact with more than 30 sound artworks.
